Our mission

Christian love, expressed as practical help

What we believe shapes how we work: quietly, honestly, and with respect for the people we serve.

Mission statement

“Christians in Need International exists to demonstrate Christian love by providing practical help, hope, dignity, and opportunity to Christians facing poverty, persecution, exploitation, and humanitarian crisis around the world.”

Core principles

Six commitments that guide our work

Faith

We believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves dignity and compassion.

Compassion

We respond to people suffering from poverty, persecution, exploitation, and crisis.

Dignity

We seek to help people without exploiting their suffering for fundraising.

Freedom

We support efforts that help vulnerable people escape exploitation and regain control of their lives.

Transparency

We are committed to responsibly communicating how donations are used.

Hope

We want the people we serve to experience practical help and hope for a better future.

How we intend to work

We are a new organization, and we would rather be trusted than impressive. That shapes some deliberate choices about how we operate and what we publish.

  • We verify a need before we ask you to fund it.
  • We obtain consent before publishing anyone's story or photograph, and we use pseudonyms and non-identifying images wherever publication could create risk.
  • We describe situations factually, without exaggeration and without political framing.
  • We do not claim charitable registration, tax-exempt status, results, or partnerships that we have not established.
  • We publish our financial reporting as it becomes available rather than making claims in advance.
